Milestone Sessions in my home studio in New Orleans are a new addition to my offerings and are quickly becoming a favorite! To be honest, I was hesitant to add studio sessions to my offerings. Most people (myself included!) associate studio photography with props, themes, and super posed newborns. But then I realized that I could break that mold, I could make studio sessions entirely mine, and I was inspired!

My Petite Milestone Sessions are designed to be a quick and easy portrait session focused on your baby. My studio sessions are very simple and baby focused. I have a super neutral space with a few simple, minimalist props (blankets, baskets, wooden toys) so that the focus is on the baby! These sessions are more of a typical portrait session than my lifestyle family sessions, focusing on baby’s features, details and expressions at that stage in their first year. These sessions are a wonderful way to keep your photos of your baby updated without the whole to-do of an entire full family session!

Motherhood and family photography is so near and dear to my heart. I believe that the precious and oh so fleeting moments of childhood should be documented and cherished. And I think that a simple, neutral, distraction free backdrop might just be the perfect environment to capture these details!
